Apple is being sued for allegedly violating its privacy policy. One lawsuit initiated by iPhone users, claims that the company’s smartphone collects the user’s personal data, in addition to tracking his actions. Plaintiff Elliot Liebman accuses Apple of violating the California Invasion of Privacy Act.

Reports indicate that even with the iPhone Analytics setting turned off, devices continue to collect user data. This is against the company’s privacy policy. Recently, security researchers also demonstrated how the company began tracking all phone touches made by users after the iOS 14.6 update.

Apple knows what news the user reads about the company on a mobile phone

According to the data, Apple tracks all user steps in the App Store🇧🇷 How much time the user spends viewing the app, ads viewed, what they clicked on and what search queries they performed. In the case file, Liebman states that: “Privacy is one of the main points used by Apple to distinguish its products from other competitors. But Apple’s privacy guarantees are completely illusory.”

The collected information also includes data such as the iPhone model, screen resolution, internet connection, keyboard language, and even if the user has read any articles or news about the company – If you’re reading this news on your iPhone, Apple probably knows about it.🇧🇷

From the looks of it, Apple doesn’t abide by its privacy policy, so it’s no surprise that it has been sued. By collecting so much information, the company can learn many details about the user’s personal life, and also illuminates the process: “Through illegal data collection and tracking, Apple learns even the most intimate and potentially embarrassing aspects of the user’s use of the application. Whether or not the user has accepted Apple’s plausible offer to keep these activities confidential.”
