Musk, as Tesla’s CEO, said this during his testimony in Delaware state court in 2018 in the case regarding the compensation package approved by investors, Ukrinform reported, citing Reuters.
Musk said he hopes to complete the company’s organizational restructuring this week.
Musk later wrote in a microblog that he will continue to run the company until Twitter gets stronger, although it will “take some time”.
The tweet came after the company’s founder and former CEO, Jack Dorsey, said Twitter would not accept the CEO position.
Right now, Tesla investors are worried about the time Elon Musk is dedicating to transforming Twitter. Musk acknowledged that some Tesla engineers helped evaluate Twitter’s engineering teams, but said it was on a voluntary basis and out of hours.
Also, Musk announced the possibility of writing long posts on the social network soon.
“Soon there will be an opportunity to write long tweets,” the businessman said on his Twitter post.
He did not give any other details.
Until now, the maximum length of a tweet is 280 characters. For a long time it was possible to write messages on the social network of 140 characters, but in 2017 the company management decided to double the size of the messages.
As Ukrinform reported, Elon Musk completed the acquisition of the Twitter platform for $44 billion in October. Immediately after the acquisition, he consolidated his control over the company and dissolved the board of directors.
