The crew of the Shenzhou-14 spacecraft, aboard the Chinese orbital space station “Tiangong”, went into space for the third time.

This was reported by the China Office’s manned cosmonaut program, Ukrinform reported, citing Xinhua.

Crew Commander Chen Dong has already left the space station, and Cai Xuzhe is preparing to do so. A brief statement from the office stated that Taicunaut Liu Yang will coordinate the actions of his comrades and provide them with support from the main module of the station.

The agency also released pictures of the tycoons.

In space, the crew will conduct several off-vehicle operations, including the installation of equipment to connect modules.

This spacewalk for the Tiangong space station was the seventh in a row. It is expected to take 6.5 hours, the ministry reported.

As reported by Ukrinform, the first Chinese manned orbital station “Tiangun-1” was launched in September 2011, and the station “Tiangun-2” – in September 2016. A few months ago, communication with “Tiangong-1” was lost, in April 2018 the station entered the Earth’s atmosphere, its components burned mostly over the Pacific Ocean. China’s second manned station completed its work in July 2019 and was removed from orbit.

As part of its space program, China has landed a rover on the Red Planet and sent probes to the Moon.

China launched the Shenzhou-14 manned spacecraft in June and sent three astronauts to the space station for a six-month mission after the station was completed.
