As reported by our colleagues from Genbeta, TDTchannels’ official Twitter profile announced that the project was “paused” and then public access was shut down. The Spanish platform, the benchmark in open reproductions free DTT announces the end of service for mobile, web and IPTV players.

Currently, when we enter the TDTChannels website, we see that the site is still operational, but no trace of connections to access tv. Therefore, it is not possible to watch any TV channels or listen to radio stations that we have access to.

A farewell for unknown reasons and some suspects

TDTChannels is a collaborative project via GitHub. In this area we can download M3U lists for IPTV applications. On the Android side, we had an official app that can be downloaded in APK format, and accessible from any device via the web.

Accesses is still active, but no web connection, completely empty. There is currently no official stance on the reasons that led to this “pause” where maintenance work was disabled, stating that public access to the entire service was shut down.

In October, TDTChannels saw their Telegram channel blocked at LaLiga’s request. According to this, there was evidence that the platform was sharing football content protected by copyright. There is still no data to prove this, although this may be the main suspect in the absence of further information.

If we want to watch DTT online, we continue with active alternatives such as Photocall TV or Tiviy. We have contacted TDTChannels from Xataka and will update this article as soon as we receive an official position.
