Jaguar Land Rover said it is ready to hire workers laid off by tech companies like Meta Platforms and Twitter to fill digital and engineering jobs.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Bloomberg.

The company announced that the luxury automaker is looking to hire around 800 workers in the UK, US, Ireland, India, China and Hungary.

Jobs are in areas such as autonomous driving, artificial intelligence, electrification, cloud computing, data science and machine learning.

Facebook’s parent company Meta is said to be laying off around 11,000 jobs, the first large-scale layoff in the social media company’s history, while Twitter’s beleaguered Twitter under Elon Musk has made massive cuts and many workers quit jobs.

Jaguar Land Rover, owned by India’s Tata Motors Ltd., said the technicians it wants to hire must have the skills needed to design and build the automaker’s next-generation electric vehicles.

As reported by Ukrinform, Twitter employees began leaving en masse on Thursday, as Elon Musk has defined this day as a deadline – everyone must decide whether to stay with the company or say goodbye to creating Twitter 2.0.
