Much like Apple’s iOS in part, MIUI is poised to become a role model in terms of productivity, as Xiaomi’s MIUI manager Jin Fan recently promised on China’s Weibo network. A few months ago, according to the manager’s statement, the MIUI team set a goal to make MIUI the most efficient and lightest operating system for Android flagships.
Many system apps that come with Chinese MIUI can already be uninstalled and many more can be uninstalled via ADB. It is not yet clear whether Xiaomi will ship the new MIUI 14 completely virus-free in the future, and there are still quite a few differences between the corresponding Chinese ROM and the global or EU ROMs for Xiaomi’s global phones.
It is known that the development of MIUI 14 is already at the completion stage, it should be presented in early December along with Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, which are currently expected as Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. Perfectly paired with Android 13, MIUI 14 will soon be available as an update for many older Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones and tablets.
