American and European space agencies are preparing for a mission called (Mars Sample Return Mission, MSR) to collect soil samples collected from Mars by the Perseverance rover. Currently, Perseverance has already “packed” 14 rock samples. In addition, a sample of the Martian atmosphere and three test tubes necessary to assess the contamination of Martian matter by Earth are not planned to be transported to Earth. And now, in a visual video, NASA has shown how it’s planned to accomplish the mission.

A series of samples from the rover are expected to be transferred to the MAV (Mars Ascent Vehicle) rocket. And it will deliver the samples to Mars orbit, where they will be picked up by the ERO (Earth Return Orbiter) instrument and delivered to Earth. If the rover is unable to reload the samples, he will be assisted by two drones that will arrive by MAV to Mars and send him spare tubes. Duplicate specimens will be found in the Three Forks area at the bottom of Crater Lake.
