Incredible or not, there are still people who use it Internet Explorer 11, despite the fact that there are much better alternatives and the end date of the web browser cycle has been set by Microsoft for a long time. Specifically, Internet Explorer 11 will be withdrawn from circulation next June.
There are several disadvantages to using Internet Explorer 11 (we insist on the latest version, because who is stuck in the previous version), but there is another to those already known, namely that everyone who has it as the default browser in Windows 10 it will block the upgrade to Windows 11by gHacks.
This is because Internet Explorer 11 is not present in the new version of the Microsoft operating system, so user data cannot be migrated during the update process. As a result, the company decided to add this endpoint as a blocking reason to prevent upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
How can blocking be avoided? Obviously use a different browser instead of Internet Explorer 11. Microsoft’s recommendation, of course, is to switch to Microsoft Edge or at least import settings and data from Internet Explorer 11 into Microsoft Edge before starting the upgrade process to Windows 11.
Unbelievable, but true, there are still people for whom the idea of continuing to use Internet Explorer is appealing or perhaps necessary, but you are already at a stage where there is no point in committing to something like that … and even Microsoft has it: If you are using Internet Explorer 11, you will not be able to upgrade to Windows 11.
Really: Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi… Even Firefox is a better choice than Internet Explorer 11 regardless of the scenario (just in case: it’s always been that way)! If you’re still stuck in an old Microsoft browser and it’s for compatibility, look for alternatives that should exist.
