Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Disabled Assembly received guests from Spain, Estonia, Portugal and Trabzon in the framework of the Erasmus+KA229 program “Silent Coding”, which was implemented to contribute to the employment of disabled people.

DENİZLİ (İGFA) – Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Disabled Assembly hosted guests from Spain, Estonia, Portugal and Trabzon in Denizli under the EU Erasmus+KA229 program “Silent Coding” project. of the organization visited Denizli Ropeway and Bağbaşı Plateau, one of the centers of highland tourism, operated by Denizli Municipality. Guests who took the cable car up to the Bağbaşı plateau at 1500 meters enjoyed the beautiful view. Enver Yumru, Director of Yeşilköy High School for the Hard of Hearing, Municipal Councilor of the Executive Committee of the Handicapped Assembly and Project Partner, explained that they hosted the project partners from Estonia, Spain, Portugal and Trabzon in Denizli and said: “Our project is Malaga, Madeira, Tartu, Trabzon and Denizli It is held for 2 years. The aim of the project is to contribute to the development and employment of hearing impaired students in the field of robot coding, one of the most important competences of our time.

With the Silent Coding Project, teachers and students; With the Tinkercad program and 3D printer, Mindstrom EV3 programs can produce course materials for the school curriculum and have the opportunity to develop it for years to come. With the project, the knowledge and experience gained by hearing-impaired students will increase their ability to compete with their peers. Moreover, with the new digital skills they have acquired, they will have the opportunity to develop in secondary and higher education, thus getting suitable work that matches their qualifications.
