Shortly after Russia launched a full-scale war in Ukraine, Nvidia stopped supplying and selling its products on the territory of the Russian Federation. In July, the company stopped licensing and selling its software to Russian companies. In the fall, information emerged that Nvidia plans to close its office in Russia due to “the impossibility of ensuring the efficient work of employees.”
The company decided to cease all financial operations in the Russian Federation, since further activity in the country against the background of the war could adversely affect sales. According to the documents, in 2022 the Russian market accounted for about 2% of total sales.
According to researchers from Yale University, after the start of all-out aggression against Ukraine, more than 1,000 foreign companies reported reducing their activities on Russian soil or withdrawing from the Russian market altogether.
