Anbernic recently launched the RG353M retro game console earlier this month. The console, which can run games on platforms such as Nintendo 64, Dreamcast Saturn and PSP, has a 3.5-inch IPS screen. The company has now launched a new console called the RG505, which includes many upgrades over the aforementioned console, especially in the display department.
Anbernic RG505 is a portable game console based on the Unisoc Tiger T618 chipset with two ARM Cortex-A75 processor cores, six Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. In addition, the company equipped the console with a 4.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 960 x 544 pixels.
It has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage, which ensures smooth operation and enough memory for multiple titles simultaneously. Anbernic has also added a 3.5mm jack for gaming, Hall sensors, and a gyroscope, as well as a microSD card reader.
The RG505 features a typical set of gamepad buttons, including four shoulder buttons and action buttons arranged on the YXAB model, as the company’s marketing photos suggest. The gaming laptop also has a 5000 mAh battery and can run Android 12 or Linux dual boot.
The RG505 is available now from Anbernic in gray, turquoise, and yellow for $147.99. The company also sells 189 x 87 x 18mm PDAs with 128GB and 256GB microSD cards for $162.99 and $177.99 respectively. After November 29, all Anbernic RG505 orders should begin shipping internationally.
