To begin with, it is worth checking the power supply unit of your router, or the router itself, how many volts it supports. For example, it could be 12 or 9 volts. Power banks, as a rule, are oriented at 5 volts. Therefore, you need a voltage boost module for the result.

How to connect a router to a power bank

Such modules can be purchased in online stores, but it is worth noting that recently they have become such a popular product that they instantly disappear from the assortment. Be sure to purchase such a module with a USB connector.

Additionally, you will need a cable for the router. You will also have to buy it separately and do some manipulations with it. Cut the cable and insert the part where the router plug remains into the module. In some cases, soldering will be required, and in others it is enough to insert parts of the wire into special connectors, as in the photo above. Be sure to pay attention to the insulation.

After that, plug the USB into the power bank and you will see the voltage it produces on the electronic display of the module. With the help of the rotating regulator, set the voltage needed by the router (what you checked in the first place).

When everything is ready, plug it into the router and wait for it to start.
