Google is working on a secret project that uses artificial intelligence to help the company abandon its services to large numbers of programmers. This was reported by Business Insider.

According to the publication, it is a neural network based program code generator. Companies want to ensure that AI can create, correct, and update software code without human intervention.

Sources revealed that the project originated from parent company Alphabet’s X research division under the codename Pitchfork. The project has been implemented since the summer of 2022 by engineers from the Google Labs team led by Olivia Hatalski. The specialist participated in the development of Google Glass smart glasses and has been working in the “X” division for several years.

In the Pitchfork project, he will also be able to learn programming styles and write code based on the work of other hackers. Initially, Pitchfork was a system that could independently update the foundation of the Python programming language to new versions.
