The visual changes are significant due to the sensors first appearing on the DJI Mini.

Happy new season USA Football League Opened last Saturday night (16), the broadcast gave sports fans the opportunity to see more details of the game from inside the field.

With the help of FPV drones, images and audio recordings show the instructions of the players and other ambient sounds inside the stadium. In addition, with the help of cameras attached to helmets, the league also broadcasts images from the player’s point of view in the match, that is, from the first person.

The captured images were taken by aerial filmmakers at Beverly Hills Aerials, who already do aerial photography of cars and motorcycles. See below how the shooting turned out with drones designed specifically for the USFL.

Continuation after commercial

Despite the beautiful footage recorded, the new angle became the subject of discussion and divided the opinions of football fans on social networks. On Twitter, some people were praising the images recorded last Saturday, while others said that the sounds made by the drone and the players interfered, creating noise during the in-game storytelling. One fan even compared the drone’s sound to the roar of a Call of Duty zombie.

“I was really looking forward to the USFL, but this is a director’s nightmare. Lots of things are happening. Lots of cross talk and dizzying drones. Less tech and cleaner football please,” wrote another Twitter user.

Despite the criticism, it’s possible that the organization is paying attention to what’s happening on social media and seeing new ways to make these broadcasts happen. Fox Sports also acknowledged that the technology’s adoption will expand and improve over the course of the season as this type of broadcast is new to football.
