With the decision made at the UKOME meeting of the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, a new signaling system was installed for Cumhuriyet Boulevard Ulugazi Primary School. New generation LED traffic lights provide safer passage for students and pedestrians.

TRANSITION PRIORITY STUDENTS

The LED illuminated signaling system, when activated, gives priority to students.

FOR THE SCHOOL

The system, which was put into use after the break, provided great convenience for students and parents from day one. In addition, the Metropolitan Municipality Police teams were on duty for the school. Police teams led pedestrians to new traffic lights. Under the supervision of the police teams, the students crossed the street using the new generation signaling system.

MODERN AUDIO SYSTEM

The application, in which the traffic light columns are fitted with LED lighting that changes with the traffic lights, enables the motorist to better adhere to the traffic lights. The system also gives right of way to the pedestrian. Pupils who press the button on the signage during school hours can safely cross the street without their parents. LED lighting systems also have an audio warning system for the visually impaired and a Braille alphabet written system.

VIEWS FOR DRIVERS IS EXTENSIVE

With the application, the semaphores, which take on the color of traffic lights, prevent motorists from crossing at a red light with their deterrent and increase alertness. Although the driver’s viewing angle is increased by illuminating the LEDs, it provides significant convenience to drivers, especially in terms of night vision. In addition, thanks to the system, it aims at minimizing rule violations, while traffic lights with LED light system add visual beauty to the roads in terms of aesthetics.
