This new campaign consists of several screens where Microsoft insists you upgrade to Windows 11, to the extent that you have to reject it three times, and to make matters worse, the option to not update appears in the very first window with a very small size, and you have to look at it with minimal care to be able to appreciate it. It looks like it does, but it is no accident that the update option seems large and conspicuous and that without the update the opposite will happen.

Microsoft can promote their products and I don’t see anything wrong with showing a message to users that they can upgrade to Windows 11 for free, but it should not be done this way because it is possible that some will quit by direct update by mistake, and without prior backup it could lead to complicated situations.

Regarding Windows 11, I have to say that I haven’t had any major problems with the installs I use on my laptop and test bench (I only had a serious Wi-Fi issue with the latter, but that was a while ago).
