From the creators of GTA, the popular game Red Dead Redemption 2 broke the old record for the highest online steam.
Critically-acclaimed by gamers and critics, Red Dead Redemption 2 was released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles in 2018. After the PC version was released on Steam, the game peaked with 55,000 players online. A new record has been set so far – almost 62,000 simultaneous players.
Despite the PC game’s release 3 years ago and developer Rockstar Games stopped releasing any updates for the project, the discount still broke the record for concurrent players. Red Dead Redemption 2 is now 67% cheaper on Steam for $19 instead of $60.
Red Dead Redemption 2 fans gathered in the virtual graveyard for the multiplayer mode’s “funeral” in the summer of 2022, as the developers stopped replenishing the game with new content.
