Google provides $2 million for digital education for Ukrainians

The American company Google provides $2 million for digital education for Ukrainians and 50,000 Workspace licenses for the Ukrainian government.

As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov reported this on Telegram.

“Google services have already become part of the Digital Ministry’s infrastructure. Now other government agencies will be able to work faster despite the bombardment and constant threat of Russian cyberattacks. The 50,000 Google Workspace licenses, which authorities can use for free all year, will help.”

Fedorov noted that Google also supports the development of Ukrainians’ digital literacy and education. The new $2 million grant will aim to teach Ukrainians digital literacy, bridge the digital divide and scale the Action.Digital Education platform.

“Let’s launch the English version of the portal with upskilling programmes, personalized learning trajectories with AI elements, and employment advice. This will enable many to find jobs on demand in the future and contribute to the economic revival of the state,” he said.

As reported, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Federal Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Austria signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of digitalization.
