California-based startup Monarch Tractor has introduced the first “smart” MK-V tractor that can do farm work without a driver.

As reported by Ukrinform, The Verge reports this.

“(Computer Platform – Ed.) NVIDIA Jetson enables the MK-V to run AI applications in real-time while saving energy for longer battery life and longer runtime,” said Pravin Penmetsa, Monarch Tractor CEO.

Each MK-V uses six Jetson Xavier NX system modules that let you move around the fields using cameras alone.

According to Penmetsa, this is very important in terms of security because in some months the tractor may not be able to receive GPS signals in the villages.

The visual environment is provided by two 3D cameras and six standard cameras.

“The tractor collects and analyzes crop data daily and can process data from current and next generation equipment equipped with sensors and displays. This data can be used for real-time equipment adjustments, long-term yield forecasts, current growth stages and other plant and crop indicators. “, the company noted.

As reported by Ukrinform, Japanese car company Honda is developing an autonomous vehicle control system using artificial intelligence.
