The takeoff of Bayraktar Kızılelma jet unmanned aerial vehicle was tested for the first time in Turkey. Images of the tests of the aircraft developed by Baykar company, showed Chairman of the Board of Selcuklu Bayraktar Company.
“Bayraktar Red Apple – not long leftBayraktar emphasized that another critical turning point has been passed in the development of the aircraft.
Reminding that the Kızılelma unmanned aerial vehicle development project was carried out entirely by Baykar, he expressed his confidence that this device will revolutionize Turkish aviation. Bayraktar emphasized that Kızılelma is an important link in Turkey’s national technology development initiatives.
As part of the MIUS (Combat Unmanned Aircraft System) project, a new Bayraktar Kızılelma jet supersonic stealth deck-based UAV is being developed.
BAYKAR placed an order for AI-322F and AI-25TLT jet engines from the Ukrainian state enterprise “Ivchenko-Progres” in 2021. In September of this year, tests of an integrated engine were carried out on a jet aircraft.

MIUS-A will be near-sound with Ukraine AI-25TLT engine, while MIUS-B will be supersonic with Ukraine AI-322F engine and Turkish TEI TF-6000. MIUS-B will have a 2.5 times more powerful engine, which significantly distinguishes it from MIUS-A in terms of technical characteristics.
It is assumed that the unmanned aerial vehicles in the MİUS project will be launched from the TCG Anadolu (L-400) universal landing craft without the help of a catapult system. At the end of August this year, BAYKAR completed the assembly of the second prototype of the “Bayraktar Kızılelma” attack aircraft. The first sample was completed in June 2022. The first flights of both prototypes are expected in 2023. Source
