According to Yang, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will receive a few changes in terms of design and functionality. One would be to use a new external display. An insider claims that Samsung will equip the new “fold” with a 3-inch OLED display. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and 4 use a 1.9-inch display.
The internal screen size of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will remain the same. But according to Ross Yang, Samsung will use a new type of hinge that will make the crease in the fold line less noticeable.
It is not known exactly when the South Korean company will introduce the new product. Samsung usually launches new smartphones from the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series in late summer or early autumn.
