A research center for the development of space drones opened in South Korea

South Korea’s Defense Procurement Program Administration (DAPA) has opened a special research center for the development of reusable unmanned spacecraft.

As reported by Ukrinform, Yonhap reported it.

Located at Seoul National University, the center was created to research technologies needed to develop and operate reusable unmanned spacecraft.

DAPA plans to invest approximately 35.3 billion won (US$27 million) in the center by 2028; this center includes more than 240 researchers from 14 universities, space company Hanwha Aerospace Co. and the state-run Korea Aerospace Research Institute. .

As Ukrinform reported, the American unmanned military spaceplane Boeing X-37B broke a new mission record by returning to Earth after 908 days in orbit.
