According to statistics, it’s no secret that PC users go to the second and next pages in search much less often. By default, the search start screen has links to ten pages, but few people get to page ten. In total, output can display up to 100 results per page, depending on settings.
New infinite scroll feature
With the new feature, users will be able to view up to six number pages without clicking on the links for each one. After the user scrolls to the bottom of the page, more and more new results will be shown to him without having to click the “Next” button.
When will the new feature work?
The changes already took effect on December 5 for English in the US, but apparently not yet for everyone. However, this often happens with the introduction of new features – they gradually appear for different users.
Similar scrolling has long been available on various social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, and e-commerce sites follow a similar product display tactic to help showcase more products.
