Xiaomi had originally planned to announce the Xiaomi 13 series on December 1st in China. However, it reportedly decided to cancel the event due to the death of former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin. Xiaomi’s Weibo account and China’s official website have yet to confirm the new launch date of the Xiaomi 13 series, but screenshots of the Mi Store app currently circulating on Weibo show that the Xiaomi 13 series will launch on December 11. The screenshots show that the launch event will take place on the specified date at 19:00 (local time). Apart from the Xiaomi 13 series, the company is also expected to launch several products such as MIU 14, Xiaomi Watch S2, Xiaomi Buds 4 and Xiaomi Mini Host, which will be the company’s first desktop computer.

Rumors have already revealed a lot of information about the Xiaomi 13 series. It is known that the vanilla model will be equipped with a 6.36-inch E6 flat AMOLED display. It will come with leather and glass back. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 13 Pro will have a 6.73-inch AMOLED QHD + display with curved edges. Both phones will support 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro model will be available with leather and ceramic back options.

Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The Vanilla model will have a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, while the Pro model will have a 4,820mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The Pro variant will also offer 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 13 is equipped with a 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 10-megapixel triple camera. The Pro variant will have a triple camera system of 50 megapixels (primary) + 50 megapixels (ultrawide) + 50 megapixels (telephoto). Both phones are expected to come preloaded with Android 13 based on MIUI 14.
