Apple will launch a mixed reality headset before the second half of 2023. This was reported by MacRumors.
According to insider Ming-Chi Ko, the bulk shipment of Apple’s mixed reality headset that combines VR and AR functions will be delayed until the second half of 2023. Ko said the delay was due to software issues.
An insider revealed details about the timing of the release of a new device for the American company. According to him, the announcement of the mixed reality helmet could happen in January 2023, but Min-Chi Ko thinks WWDC is the most appropriate event in June. Ko believes that the long delay between the device’s announcement and its launch could undermine its popularity.
The expert expects the mixed reality headset to be a niche device. Ko suggested that by the end of 2023, the company will deliver at least 500,000 units of the gadget.
