Sony continues to try to stop Microsoft from buying Activision Blizzard, and in the meantime, the Redmond giant continues to demonstrate that this operation would be good for the market and for the players. In that sense, it’s interesting to see one of the big beneficiaries of this purchase would be the Nintendo Switcha console that has already outsold the Xbox One and Xbox Series, and is on track to do the same with the PS4 and PS5.

The reason is very simple, Microsoft confirmed A 10-year commitment to bring the Call of Duty franchise to Nintendo Switch and his successors, a move that was not accidental and that would obviously be positive for the Redmond giant as well. We take a close look at what this means for each of the parties involved, as well as for Sony.

For Microsoft, this commitment is beneficial for two reasons. The first is that it allows you to demonstrate to regulators that the concerns Sony is trying to spread they have no basis and it would make it easier for him get an approval from the more restrained ones. Second, we have to keep in mind that this would allow the Call of Duty franchise to come to the Nintendo Switch earn more revenue and maximize profitability said purchase transactions.

The fact that Nintendo will receive the Call of Duty franchise in versions adapted to the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch is good news because will increase the appeal of your console for other player profiles that haven’t noticed yet, and because it might help you sell more units and close the stellar end of the life cycle.
