How does it work

• First you choose the composition of the asteroid: iron, gold, stone, carbon or ice.
• After that, you can choose its size from 1 meter to 1.5 kilometers.
• The third indicator available is the angle of incidence.

• Now click the mouse on the point where you want to direct the virtual asteroid and press the “Start Asteroid” launch button.

The system takes all metrics into account to provide a highly accurate estimate of the damage an asteroid will cause, including the death toll, crater size, area of ​​impact, speed of the fireball, shock wave, and megatornado-like winds. In addition, other effects such as destructive earthquakes will be considered.

For example, if you drop an iron asteroid 1.5 kilometers in diameter at a 60 degree angle to Moscow, nothing will be left of it. The one kilometer deep crater will greatly exceed the diameter of the city and destroy several nearby settlements. At the same time, the width of the fireball will be 144 kilometers and will affect 20,188,864 Russians and people. Clothing will ignite within a radius of 684 kilometers from the fall site.
