The previous day, Head of the Polish Ministry of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak met with Christina Lambrecht, Head of the German Ministry of Defense. The ministers agreed to place the Patriot complexes in service with the Bundeswehr on Polish territory. This means that the Armed Forces will not take them.

Blaszczak did not find it necessary to hide that he was disappointed with the decision of the German authorities. The official position of Warsaw was reduced to the fact that it would be more useful if the Patriotic complexes were placed in the western part of Ukraine. Apparently, Berlin has a different view.

The Germans offered the Patriot complexes to the Poles after the incident of the rocket crash in the border area. He was the victim of two Polish rocket attacks. To protect its airspace from missiles, Germany offered Poland Eurofighter warplanes and Patriot air defense systems. In response, Warsaw asked the German government to hand over the Patriot complexes to the Ukrainian army.

Meanwhile, Poland has ordered several Patriot air defense systems from Raytheon Technologies. Warsaw does not offer its complexes to Kiev. Source
