Last week, Apple said it will offer fully encrypted backups of photos, chat history, and many other sensitive user data in its worldwide cloud storage system, and these backups will not be accessible to most hackers, spies and law enforcement.

Apple officials said that various threats and attempts to hack cloud providers are becoming more frequent, making end-to-end encryption in the cloud the best option for those most concerned about security.
