Apple plans to launch the new 13-inch MacBook Air, 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro with OLED displays in 2024. This was reported by the MacRumors portal, citing authorized insider Ross Young.
At the same time, as the source stated, all three devices will receive Apple ProMotion support, thanks to the fact that the screens can operate at a frequency of up to 120 Hz. There is no other information about the new gadgets. New products are likely to work on the basis of improved Apple M2 or new M3 chips.
The ProMotion feature has been available on the iPad Pro since 2017. Thanks to this technology, tablets can update the display to 120 Hz with a frequency of 24 Hz, while MacBook Air will use this function for the first time. Apple introduced the MacBook Pro with a frequency of 24 Hz to 120 Hz in 2021, but the company’s tablets and laptops currently use IPS and mini-LED displays.
