According to an insider source, Apple will launch the first tablets and computers with OLED displays in two years. According to the analyst’s announced data, by 2024, the American company will finish work on the 13-inch MacBook Air laptop and the 11-inch iPad Pro tablet.

Yang did not share specific specs of the models, but explained that the devices will launch with “double-row” OLED displays that will receive two layers of RGB pixels. In this way, the specialist noted that the screens of the devices will be distinguished by increased brightness and low energy consumption. Analysts stressed that this is especially important when it comes to a battery-powered portable computer and tablet.

In addition, the laptop and tablet will support ProMotion technology, which updates the image with a frequency of up to 120 hertz. A similar option is supported by the new iPad and MacBook, but these devices have an IPS matrix. Currently, OLED displays are only used in iPhone smartphones and Apple Watches.
