Multinational company Stellantis is recalling more than 1.4 million Ram pickups due to a technical malfunction in the vehicles.
This was reported by USA Today, Ukrinform reports.
The company announced that it is recalling the 2019-2022 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks after it was discovered that the tailgate latch plates on the pickup trucks could not be positioned correctly to allow the trunk to fully close.
Most of the recalled pickups are located in North America and can be taken to dealers for inspection and adjustment if needed.
Stellantis also advised owners to make sure any cargo in the trunk is securely fastened.
At the same time, pickup trucks with multifunctional tailgates, the Ram 1500 Classic and pickup trucks with sensors that warn drivers of an unlocked trunk are not subject to recall.
