It looks like Microsoft has started rolling out an updated OneDrive app for Windows. This was seen in July 2022 when an early build was leaked to the public. Now the software giant is ready to roll out the app to all users (apparently).

The redesigned OneDrive app has a Windows 11-like user interface and navigation. There are four vertical tabs to manage sync and backup settings, your account, and notifications. In the fourth tab, you can check the current version of the program and subscribe to previous OneDrive Insider updates.

Another noticeable change is the memory indicator in the lower left corner, which allows you to check your memory limit without going to a specific tab. Finally, the app now supports dark and light modes, which the old version never offered.

The new OneDrive for Windows app doesn’t offer any new features other than a sleeker user interface and redesigned navigation. You can manage your backups, adjust download speed, enable or disable files on demand, and more.

Sure, OneDrive Settings is something you visit often, but it’s still great to see that Microsoft has given this part of the operating system a much better and more modern user interface. There are no reports of this coming to Windows 10 at the time of this writing, but Microsoft has yet to announce the launch of the new OneDrive app for Windows, and we will update the article when we receive official information from Microsoft.
