The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that the 36th flight of the Ingenuity helicopter to Mars has been successfully completed.

“The Ingenuity Mars rotorcraft recently completed its 36th flight and remained above the Martian surface for just over a minute (60.5 seconds)!”, said JPL.
The laboratory also recorded that the NASA helicopter flew 7,517 meters during its flight on December 10. The maximum height Ingenuity gained was 14 meters.
As in the previous two incidents, the “Martian” rotorcraft remained in place where it took off (airport X).
Ingenuity also took a new black and white image of the Red Planet during its flight.
As Ukrinform reports, the Ingenuity helicopter was delivered to the Red Planet along with NASA’s Perseverance rover on February 18, 2021, after nearly seven months of flight. Ingenuity made its maiden flight on 19 April. The $85 million helicopter became the first plane to be launched from another planet.
