According to the agreement announced on December 16, Advent is purchasing all outstanding ordinary shares of Maxar for $53.00 per share in cash; that’s more than double Maxar’s $23.10 share price as of December 15, the company’s last full trading day as a publicly traded company. The acquisition is expected to be completed by mid-2023.

The acquisition will help Maxar “accelerate investment and development in the company’s next-generation satellite technologies and data analytics for its customers.”
