If yesterday we repeated the launch of the amazing Moto X40, today we will do the same with the Moto G53. And it’s that despite being in very, very different segments, they both share two characteristics, one good and one bad. The good news is the spectacular price, the bad news is that they are only available in the Chinese market at least for now. However, knowing the deep international nature of the brand, we can hopefully wait for its arrival in other markets.

If we were surprised by the price of the Moto X40 for being a high-end series that is able to compete with more than one top of the line, this Moto G53 is a much more modest proposition for an entry-level line that: however, excels in more than one aspect in which it is at the level of the middle class, and it does so at a price, at least in the domestic market, which can put the cheapest offers of many other manufacturers against the wall.

Starting with the interior of this Moto G53, we see that it is commanded by a SoC Snapdragon 480+, integrated introduced in October last year and which we have previously seen in other devices of the brand, such as the Moto G62. We are talking about an octa-core chip with two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2 GHz and another six Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz, which is complemented by the Adreno 619 GPU. 128 gigabytes of internal memory and 4 or 8 gigabytes of RAM, depending on the configuration. The whole set is powered by a battery 5000 milliampsa very common feature of Motorola smartphones and comes with Android 13 to control the controls.

As for its exterior, let’s start with its screen, built with a panel 6.5 inch IPS-LCD able to offer modest resolution 720 x 1600 pixels in an aspect ratio of 2.22:1 for a density of about 280 dpi, but with a refresh rate that can go up to 120 hertzsomething very rare in entry-level phones, and this makes it a great choice for those who love light but moving games as well as multimedia content playback.

In its photographic part, we find the main camera composed of two elements, of which the main sensor 50 megapixels complete with a 2-megapixel macro lens and a front-facing camera located in the hole at the top of the display, which hides an 8-megapixel sensor.

As we already told you, there are two versions of the Moto G53 that have seen the light of day in the Chinese market, one with four gigabytes of RAM and the other with twice as much, eight gigabytes. The former is priced at 899 yuan, while the top model is 1,099 yuan, in exchange for 121 and 148 euros.
