MIUI 14 is not for everyone

As MyDrivers found out, the new version of the shell came out lower for most smartphones.

• The new caption translation feature will only be available on smartphones powered by Snapdragon 7 and 8 series chips, as well as MediaTek’s Helio G80 or higher.
• The “photon engine”, which makes applications easier and faster, will only be available to users of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 based smartphones. And these are literally a few of the company’s smartphones.
• The third possibility of MIUI 14, which Xiaomi made a remarkable emphasis during the presentation, is the possibility of deleting the basic software, except for eight applications. It turns out that this will only work on smartphones released after October 2022, and these are only Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro.

Other limitations of MIUI 14 are likely to be found later. Currently, things are not looking very appealing for owners of devices released in previous years. Here, the company decided to follow the path of Apple, which traditionally leaves the most interesting features to its new flagships.
