Studio Guerrilla Games published Announcing on Twitter that it has hired new employees to develop the next game in the Horizon series. In this way, the company has confirmed the recent rumors that an online project will be created in the aforementioned series.

The new game doesn’t have a name yet. Guerilla Games’ post suggests its gameplay will depend on multiplayer. In addition, the developers emphasized that the prepared project will be executed in a “unique visual style”.

Nothing is known about the plot of the eponymous spin-off. However, the studio emphasized that some characters from the main series will be in the game.

Guerrilla Games assured that they will continue to make single-player games about the new adventures of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West’s main character, Aloy. Some media have accepted this thesis as the first announcement of a trilogy to the main Horizon series.

It is said that the online game set in the Horizon universe will come to PlayStation 5 and PC.
