OnePlus celebrated its ninth anniversary with the unveiling of its first-generation mechanical keyboard, which has yet to be released. This is part of the company’s broader plans to research PC accessories. He outlined his plans to produce a mechanical keyboard with special switches and pads that would provide an unmatched typing experience.

An event was held on December 17 to mark OnePlus’ ninth anniversary. The smartphone brand used the event to launch Feature X accessories, which include peripherals and other PC accessories. The mechanical keyboard double pad design has a product-specific sound.

According to OnePlus, the device offers all-day comfort while typing or gaming. The keyboard will be delivered in a premium aluminum body manufactured using CNC technology. The keyboard also has its own fan-made profiles and switches.

While the wireless capabilities of the device are not yet known, the OnePlus mechanical keyboard will be compatible with Linux, Windows and macOS. The layout of the new keyboard is similar to the MacBook. The device will support open source firmware and hot swapping for switches. OnePlus expects to crowdsource the mechanical keyboard concept soon, with a launch around February 2023. There are still details about OnePlus’ mechanical keyboard concept. The company hopes the concept will be well received by the global OnePlus community.

If plans go smoothly, OnePlus’ new mechanical keyboard could go into mass production in March or April 2023. Deliveries will be made later. OnePlus is associated with the growing global brand Oppo and expects to enter the PC accessories market before its tenth anniversary.
