Prices and official specifications of Ryzen 5 7600, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 9 7900

Thanks to the leak, we were able to confirm the key features and prices of the new Ryzen 5 7600, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 9 7900, the three processors that AMD will expand its catalog with and which will hit the market January 9So in about three weeks.

Ryzen 5 7600, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 9 7900 maintain the number of cores and threads versions of «X», although they work on a lower frequency, which means that its performance will be slightly lower. To compensate for this difference in performance, the price of these new processors will also be much lower than the “X” models.

Ryzen 5 7600, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 9 7900

Ryzen 5 7600 will have 6 cores and 12 threads It will be clocked at up to 5.1 GHz in turbo mode, have 38 MB of total cache, have a TDP of 65 watts, and include an integrated Radeon RDNA2 GPU with 128 shaders. It will compete with the Core i5-12600 and Core i5-13600, although it should be lower than the latter. Its price will be about 229 dollars 260 euros per exchangeIncluding VAT.

Jumping to Ryzen 7 7700, which processor we have 8 cores and 16 threads clocked at a maximum of 5.3 GHz with a total buffer of 40 MB, a TDP of 65 watts and an integrated Radeon RDNA2 GPU with 128 shaders. This will compete with the Core i7-12700 and Core i7-13700, although it will be worse than both in multi-threaded performance and could be slightly lower than the latter in single-threaded. Its price will be almost 329 dollars 374 euros per change including VAT.

Finally, we have the Ryzen 9 7900, which will have 12 cores and 24 threads clocked at a maximum of 5.4GHz, it will have 76MB of total cache and will also have an integrated Radeon RDNA2 GPU with 128 shaders. This model will compete with the Core i9-12900 and Core i9-13900 according to AMD, but the truth is that it will be more in line with the Core i9-13700. Its price will be 429 dollars, 487 euros per change including VAT.

Differences from the “X” models. they are mainly visible in the basic operating frequencies, which are noticeably lower. For example, the Ryzen 5 7600 has a base speed of 3.8GHz versus 4.7GHz for the “X” model, and the Ryzen 7 7700 also runs at a base speed of 3.8GHz, while the Ryzen 7 7700X does so at 4.5GHz. The Ryzen 9 7900 has a base speed of 3.7 GHz and the Ryzen 9 7900X runs at a base speed of 4.7 GHz. Fortunately, Turbo mode significantly reduces these differences.

Ryzen 5 7600, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 9 7900 will be delivered including the cooling system, which does not happen with the “X” models. This greatly increases their value and makes them a very interesting option for building a PC on a budget. The Ryzen 5 7600 will come with the AMD Wraith Stealth cooler, and the Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 9 7900 will come with the AMD Wraith Prism Cooler.
