Most IT companies in Ukraine are ready to hire inexperienced workers
About 86% of IT companies in Ukraine are cooperating or ready to hire people who have minimal experience or have moved to work in other professions in this field.

This is evidenced by the results of a survey of employers in the Ukrainian IT market conducted by the recruiting platform BazaIT in conjunction with the IT Generation project, Ukrinform reports.

More than 86% of those surveyed are already June and are renting sweaters or are ready for such collaborations. The presence of positive previous experience in the team (69.6%) and the willingness of “senior” employees to help “young” employees (63.8%) are most influential in the decision to hire people who do not have the appropriate skills or at a minimum level. Also, an important factor for employers is the availability of projects at the appropriate level for new team members (52.2%).

The most important factor in renting a junior and sweater is the motivation of the person. The option “A person with twinkling eyes” scored 92.8%. Competence – 75.4%, honesty and ability to work in a team – 59.4%, adaptability – 56.5%, energy – 55.1%, openness and ability – 53.6%, and also knowledge of English – 46.4% .

The main reason employers do not want to hire young people and sweaters is the lack of relevant experience – 63.6%. The lack of projects for these categories (54.5%) and the adaptation to the relevant processes in a longer time than usual (54.5%) disgusts the employers. Among other reasons: the absence of mentors and opportunities to develop specialists on their own, unwillingness to take risks and “filling the bumps”, the presence of negative experiences.

80 companies such as Luxoft, SocialTech, MacPaw, Ciklum, Competera and others participated in the study. 53.8% of the respondents are grocers; 23.1% outsourcing; 7% non-staff; 3.7% IT department; 3.7% consulting agencies; The remaining 10%. The majority of respondents (38.7%) have between 11 and 50 employees.

As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov believes that about 15,000 relevant specialists are needed to meet the needs of the Ukrainian IT market over the next six months or a year.

By 2024, the Ukrainian IT community is expected to reach 450,000 specialists. This is due to the active development of the industry, its relative reliability in combat conditions relative to other aspects.
