The American space agency NASA’s InSight probe took the last photo on Mars as part of its mission.

This was reported by Space.com, Ukrinform reports.

According to NASA, InSight did not respond to signals from Earth, so American astronomers assume that the lander has already completed its work.

The device has suffered power outages in recent months as the solar cells are increasingly covered in dust.

NASA launched the InSight (Inner Exploration using Seismic Surveys, Geodesy, and Heat Transport) landing in May 2018, and the module landed on Mars in November of the same year.

The InSight mission was ambitious: to understand the structure of Mars, using a seismometer to measure earthquakes, and launch a probe below the Martian surface. However, the probe couldn’t go deep enough to reach their destination.

As reported by Ukrinform, the American space agency NASA’s InSight probe recorded the strongest 4.7 magnitude earthquake ever on Mars.
