Microsoft continues to develop the Android subsystem (Windows Subsystem for Android, WSA) integrated into Windows 11. The beta version of Android 13 has become available to participants of the Windows Subsystem Preview for Android testing program.
You must sign up for this program separately from the regular Windows 11 Insider. The new test version of WSA includes nine changes. In addition to the WSA update to Android 13, there is also a significant increase in boot performance. Microsoft claims that WSA can be 50% faster.
The purpose of the Windows Subsystem Preview for Android program is to test early versions of WSA separately from Windows Insider builds and help Microsoft gather feedback from users with minimal risk to their PC. There’s no word on when the update will be available to all Windows 11 users, but it could take a few weeks or months as the holiday season approaches. Source
