“Over the weekend, the Mars helicopter made its 37th flight,” JPL said.
Ingenuity was recorded to fly 62 meters above the surface of the Red Planet for 55.16 seconds.
At the same time, to test the new capabilities of the flight software, the maximum flight altitude was 10 meters.
As Ukrinform reports, the Ingenuity helicopter was delivered to the Red Planet on February 18, 2021, along with NASA’s Perseverance rover, after nearly seven months of flight. Ingenuity made its maiden flight on 19 April. The $85 million helicopter became the first plane to be launched from another planet.
