Coffee Stain, responsible for Goat Simulator 3, has earned recognition in its own right as one of the most respected developers and distributors in the business. This is something that was already more than clear with its first big success, the delirious and wonderful Goat Simulator, and it is highlighted by some rather provocative actions for the sector, such as the introduction of Goat Simulator 3 (remember that there was no Goat Simulator Simulator 2 ) with a video that, well, let’s just say it was inspired by the trailer for Dead Island 3, a project canceled by Deep Silver in 2017.

References to other games, as well as other elements of popular culture, are a constant for this study. For example, the Goat Wast of Space Simulator DLC was released for the first Goat Simulator, with many interesting references (some very clear and some more veiled) to Star Wars and PAYDAY. cross with this saga shooter. Other DLCs are Goatz, released in the middle of the zombie content craze, and Goat MMO Simulator, which gave access to indescribable online multiplayer.

It is true that between the first and second installments of the goat simulator, the studio developed and published more serious proposals, such as Valheim or Satisfactory, but if provocation is in your DNA, sooner or later it will resurface. Maybe not as high as in its early days (we all age), but in a more than noticeable way. The problem, of course, is when the party in question doesn’t find it funny. And this is especially striking when said party has been known for its irreverence for years.

This is the case of Take-Two, the distributor of Rockstar, the developer of one of the most controversial games in the history of video games, the GTA saga. As we can read in Eurogamer, the company blocked a Goat Simulator 3 video showing leaked GTA VI content. The image, which, as you might have guessed, comes from a previously unreleased game content leak that took place last September.

The video, which is no longer visible on YouTube, showed an alleged interview with a Goat Simulator 3 NPC, and during its development, the character claimed to have multiple jobs, including the expected GTA VI, at the time the one that showed some of the content that saw the light of day before several months. Attempting to access a video now displays a message that the video has been removed at the request of the copyright owner.

Obviously, Take-Two and Rockstar have every right to carry out an action like this, but personally, a performance of this type in another studio, which has also been a paradigm of disrespect for years, and which is usually inspired by popular content that parodies both in the development of its games, so when promoting. I insist that Rockstar is within their rights, but it doesn’t seem particularly coherent to me.
