Radeon RX 7900 XT Price Drops Just 11 Days After Launch

The Radeon RX 7900 XT hit the market on December 13th, just 11 days ago, and we were surprised to find that their price has already started to drop in Germany, a market where AMD products they are mostly very successfuland where Ryzen 5000s lead the general consumer market for a long time, at least according to Mindfactory.de’s numbers.

The fact is that the price of the Radeon RX 7900 XT has fallen below the recommended level at this particular seller. Its official price is 1,049 euros, but this store was selling Sapphire assembly machine units for 999 euros. This represents a reduction of 50 euros from the official price, it is not a huge number, but it represents a saving and that is always good.

We might think that this drop in price is due to a simple correction due to the recovery of the euro against the dollar, and this is normal, because it makes sense, but this argument falls under its own weight when we see that the price of Radeon RX 7900 XTX is still inflated, and that it is well above the recommended level (1,149 euros). It’s impossible to find a unit at this price on the market, and there’s also little stock, which has caused prices to skyrocket to €1,700.

Radeon RX 7900 XT price

Overall, let me tell you that I have not been able to find a Radeon RX 7900 XTX unit in stock and that the Radeon RX 7900 XT does have a good stock level. If we connect the dots, I think the conclusion we can draw is very simple, and that is that it seems The former was much more successful than the latter.which is understandable given the difference in performance it offers for just 100 euros (according to recommended prices).

This price drop may gradually spread to other markets and eventually we will see the Radeon RX 7900 XT in Spain for less than 1000 euros. However, it’s important to keep in mind that in the end, everything will depend on stock and demand for said graphics card. Demand is low at the moment, so we shouldn’t expect any supply issues.

Before I finish, I remind you that according to the latest information we have seen, NVIDIA plans to launch the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti in the first week of January 2023 and that this graphics card will compete directly with the Radeon RX 7900 XT in performance and price. If you are planning to buy a new graphics card and are going to spend a thousand euros, I would wait to see what NVIDIA has to offer with said model and then make a decision.
