This year left us with very important moments in the technology sector. The arrival of the Raptor Lake-S and Ryzen 7000 processors were two of the most relevant, but we must not forget the new graphics generations from NVIDIA and AMD. Talking about RDNA 3 or Ada Lovelace refers to the two most advanced architectures that exist today, but which one is better and why?
That’s the question with which we open this new article aimed at you, our readers, and as always, I’ll get wet first. The truth is like this with Raptor Lake-S and Ryzen 7000 I think it’s a much more even fightand that both are in a very good position, which certainly benefits us all, because it has created a price war that allows us to buy a high-performance next-generation processor at a reasonable price.
In the case of graphic architectures, I am also quite clear. Having to choose between RDNA 3 or Ada Lovelace leads me straight to this put NVIDIA as the winnerand my reasons are very simple:
AMD has managed to improve raw performance and efficiency with RDNA3 and has also managed to step up a notch in ray tracing, but he said the architecture fell short of expectationsneither in power nor in efficiency, and in fact it has some major problems that for some reason I don’t quite understand, we try to downplay.
It is good that there is competition, and of course we need strong AMD, but that doesn’t change the fact that RDNA3 was a watered-down architecture, the kind of will-and-can’t with lights and shadows that leaves us halfway there. I really want to see a graphics generation from AMD that can beat NVIDIA in every wayWe’ll see if it can handle RDNA4.
Now it’s your turn, RDNA 3 or Ada Lovelace? Read in the comments.
