TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, has yet to comment on the glitches the service has experienced. The source of the problem is also unknown.

TikTok isn’t working: here’s what we know

Users report what’s happening on Downdetector, an online platform that provides real-time information about the status of web pages and apps.

According to Downdetector, as we can see in the screenshot, TikTok’s main problem at the time of writing this article is, connection to your servers.

On TikTok, the problems started around 18:25 (Spanish peninsula time). Downdetector received more than 75,000 reports from users in just over half an hour.

In the increasingly digital and connected world we live in, even the most important services are not immune from problems. On October 25, WhatsApp crashed and users were unable to send or receive messages. And finally, on October 31st, Instagram accidentally started suspending accounts.

However, one of the most important events in recent years has been Facebook. All of the company’s social networks, now called Meta, were down and unavailable for a little over six hours in October 2021.
