The satellite was launched from Taiyuan Cosmodrome in northern China at 15:37 Beijing time using the Changzheng-4B launch vehicle.
After some time, the satellite was launched into the given orbit.
The spacecraft will be used for land resources exploration, urban planning, road network design, crop yield assessment and natural disaster prevention and mitigation of their consequences.
This flight was already the 457th flight for the Changzheng series launch vehicles.
