If you’re waiting for a new generation of gaming mobiles, pay attention to the RedMagic 8 Pro, which Nubia (a subsidiary of ZTE) is launching in China and whose international version will be launched on January 16.
The features of the RedMagic 8 Pro are really impressive, starting with the new Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2; support for the upcoming Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity standards and features that have defined mobile gaming, such as active cooling, large batteries with fast charging and RGB lighting effects.
In addition to the processor update, the terminal runs faster LPDDR5X memory as well as the latest version for internal mobile storage UFS 4.0. As for the screen, it is a 6.8 inch AMOLED diagonal with FHD + resolution and HDMI output via USB and support for wireless display technology that allows you to transmit video to an external display with a frequency of up to 120 Hz.
This mobile is powered by a 6000 mAh dual cell battery. Magnificent capacity, complemented by a fast charging system up to 165W. This type of terminals needs special cooling systems to keep temperatures under control in such powerful and thin designs and for this occasion Nubia has improved the Turbo Cooling Engine technology with a liquid cooling plate, graphene under the screen and a fan with 20,000 revolutions per minute.
Cameras are not the most important thing for this type of mobile and we assume that the triple sensor configuration will be preserved in the main one as well. It has other gamer-focused features like touch-sensitive power buttons on the side of the phone and a set of pins to easily connect docks and other optional accessories.
The new top-of-the-range Nubia can now be booked in China starting at 3,999 Yuan, around $575. The company will introduce the international version on January 16, and it will be available worldwide from January 28. The terminal will be available in various configurations, including two main ones:
Nubia will launch special versions with a back cover made of transparent materials to display the fan’s RGB lighting. An impressive device for sure and we’ll give you full details when the international version is launched.
